I like the thought behind this; this is the stuff that makes these boards work! I like the first two, but have trouble with the third. There's too tenuous a link between BIDS and Priceline. IMHO having the declining (Dutch) auction patent isn't the value equivalent of Priceline's business. Again, many of the early leaders in a new area (which Priceline is) will maintain higher valuations than second and third arrivals. I don't see BIDS as the same, I'm just saying that in an era of amazing valuations for internet companies, first to the party is going to be even more amazing. Still, I hope it's true. I promise I won't whine if my BIDS stock gets to that kind of valuation <g>. WUWT
