Enterprise business software provider J.D. Edwards & Company (Nasdaq:JDEC) today announced to manufacturing customers at IMS EXPO/1999, the international manufacturing software exposition and conference in Orlando, Fla., its next phase of supply chain management software by showcasing its manufacturing solutions to customers.

At the J.D. Edwards booth (No. 1319), the Company is demonstrating its recently acquired sales configuration technology, CustomWorks(R). Extending the reach of the Company's supply chain solution for sales force automation, attendees are able to see how CustomWorks sales automation software will complement the adaptability of ActivEra(TM), J.D. Edwards' collection of tools and technologies that enables customers to change their enterprise software system after it has been implemented.

In addition, Greg Martin, director of product marketing at J.D. Edwards, will present the workshop session (9:15 a.m./room 308A): "The Next Phase of Supply Chain Management" on Thursday, April 29. Solutions for Manufacturers

Edwards SCOREX supply chain solution for sales force automation and tailored products. The combined solution will allow made-to-order manufacturers and distribution concerns to reduce turn-around time in preparing price estimates and quotations, provide accurate as-configured technical drawings to ensure products are built as ordered, and support manufacturing and distribution processes with intelligent drawings.

J.D. Edwards today also announced an alliance with IBM to offer ERPbridge connectivity software and DCConnect data collection software, used to provide real-time, accurate information during production and shipping to streamline the manufacturing and distribution processes. IBM's ERPbridge for J.D. Edwards and DCConnect allow customers to implement user-defined transaction gathering and product tracking procedures that address the unique operational requirements of their industry, while integrating with J.D. Edwards' OneWorld and WorldSoftware applications, including: Inventory Management, Sales Order Management, Procurement, Shop Floor Management, Warehouse Management, and Equipment Management.
