Hmmm

It will show who board members, senior executives etc are and show their other board memberships etc. It will also show links to news stories for these individuals. I haven't however seen a function that allows you to track criminal activity. Bloomberg is more oriented to mainstream stocks where this is not as much of an issue.

As far as news filters it depends on what you are trying to accomplish. You can set up monitor pages for equities that will show a highlight feature when news is out on a specific stock. There are also news search functions that will allow you to look for news on a specific subject i.e. internet stocks. I haven't experimented a lot with their news filters as we also have other services that we have designed filters for.

Also keep in mind Bloomberg is going to be very expensive for individual use.
