Many funds, PBHG eg, are quite down in 97--tho not as much as VW. But other funds during recent rallies have, well, rallied, while VW didn't, at least not enuf to buffer the injury Greenspan inflicted last week. So it doesn't surprise me VW is attracting wrath. As I said to Ben in this thread, part of this wrath, IMO, is fueled by the absurd hype consumer mags and TV shows created about GVW. Can do no wrong, can make you rich, etc. The recent PBS show on the stock market, showing the Beef Man busy on the phone amidst his blinking computor bank, didn't temper our feelings either.

Thanks for your post, Michael. I hope you are not one of those burned by VW.
Regards,
Johnny
