Arnie, can't help you with info on NXTL or BBA. Thanks for your very astute mathematical analysis of the 55-cent "deal". I hadn't looked at it this way before. Please cross-post on Motley Fool if you can. If not, I'd like to do it for you.

Here's another way of looking at this new "threat". You can still go to Jack-in-the-Box and order any item from the under-a-buck menu (taco, burger, etc.) along with a water, for about $1. The MacFraud deal is actually going to cost you around $2.60. Sure, you get fries and a softdrink, but the point is, you aren't forced to buy something else at JITB to make up a minimum order.
