Are you related to John Barriger? Barriger started with the Pennsy, was VP of the Rock Island (two big failures those, but not his fault.) Was president of the Monon and after retirement, resurrected the Katy from near-death. Was known as the "Doctor of sick railroads" and is generally regarded as a visionary of what American railroads could become. If you're related, you've got a lot to be proud of.
