Kevin, I am very excited about IA64. It should be only about 2 years behind Alpha in performance, and the die sizes will be only about 4X the size of Alpha. Not to mention the IA64 application software base of size zero, and the fact that they have no x86 recompile equivalent to FX!32, forcing them to do x86 in hardware. Scumbria
