Bob and JDN, I also noticed a very key point in this paragraph in the MSDW usage of EMC Symmetrix storage article: Based in New York, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter also relies on EMC Enterprise Storage for all of its computing applications, including workflow management, information delivery, mutual funds, trust services and Year 2000 testing. To ensure even greater data availability and protection, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter uses EMC Data Manager (EDM) backup and restore solution and EMC TimeFinder software to back up and protect its core applications. This would have been unheard of even just five years ago, i.e., for major IT customers to rely on a storage company for all its computing applications. It would have been the tail wagging the dog back then. Super good press for EMC, this one. Tony
