"AAPL not mentioned per se, but those rumored to be interested in acquiring COMS have no use for Palm." My thoughts exactly. There is no way that Apple will buy the entire 3Com which currently has a market cap of over $9 billion. However if one of these networking giants buys COMS, I think it becomes very likely for Palm to up for sale. Eric PS JK, Goldman Sachs was involved in the 1996 issuance of 6% convertible notes.
