John, I don't know. What would Intel and Rambus say? Any forward-looking statements could come back to haunt them if anything goes wrong down the line. All they could say would be something like "we're where we expected to be right now." And that wouldn't do much, I don't believe. Intel has said a number of times already that Rambus is their long-term solution for faster memory. It's just getting repetitive (ditto for Edelstone). Personally, I don't think this is rumor-driven, I just think it's: 1) short sales on a stock that had a PE of 200+, and 2) a lack of buyers since everyone thinks that they can get in later without too much pain. I think when we get the next good up day the buyers in #2 will jump back in, then we'll have a battle between them and the short-sellers. BWDIK, Dave Buying opportunity, I say.
