Mark, I am not talking about a religious presence, I am talking about the presence of God! in the hearts of our citizens. World of difference!
And I don't have time to get into it specifically but lots could be said about your reference to the other countries. Prominent in other countries are religious wars (civil) among their adults. I also know that their young are trained to go to battle also. That is not the issue in America...quite different. Aside from that.
The other night I heard a report from Barbara Walters who had been over in Jordan interviewing Queen Noor when this Co. tragedy happened. The son of the deceased King Hussein told Barbara , that tragedy would never happen in this country because we teach them about God in the schools.....And you know what Mark, it never happened in this country either, when this country also taught about God in our schools.
Now I am not so naive to think that all we have to do is teach God again in the schools, but someone, somewhere, needs to show these kids that God does love them,that do count, and so too does God count!!!
We need God back in America.!!
