Based on what??? This is my question. Please!!! You have analyst pulling this out of their hat. They have lulled the investor into thinking this is normal or there is a " new valuation model" which is the biggest bunch of B.S. I have ever heard. Now it is great buying stocks and have them go up but believing in the hype can be really dangerous. I play these things also, but I think most of the net stock are like playing a big casino almost like a big pennystock, inflated with high hopes and expectations but they got nothing. If find it amazing that analyst that have lulled the investors into thinking that real companies are valued this way...What a bunch of b.s. It is suggesting that I can come out with a grand idea create, a net stock buy founding stock for pennies, get funded by the venture cap guys that don't say stop, but go right to the waiting arms of the public that will make me rich cause it is "da net" Then I become a billionaire overnight without actually doing anything. Of course after my stock goes up 10 fold after the IPO the analyst still find it a "buy". . Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against PCLN and this comment is not about them but directed to the gumby small investor that really believes this game on the net is long-term. Meaning that the stocks go up 10 fold in a month and they are still buys. Look at it this way, success has to be earned, not perceived or I would be the richest guy in the world. Also, look at Dell and MSFT, two extremely successful companies. How long did it take them to go up 10 fold? Not in a week or month but over time. You might be pricing in success for the next 5 yrs in 1 week. Like I said this isn't directed toward PCLN. I just stick to my motto in stocks. "It is all Tuna!"
Meaning what happens when tuna sits out for a while?
