Aloha, The source for the 25 million units sold this quarter and the 27.3 million sold 4Q is Dataquest. The source of the arithmetic is my calculator. <g>

It is hard to say what is an average seasonal decline 4Q to 1Q. In the early parts of the decade, it was huge, as the consumer box was king. Then, the business customers became 70% of volume, and they don't buy each other boxes for Xmas, so the decline declined. Now, the business box is falling in sales share relative to the consumer box again. So, short answer, I can't venture the average seasonal dropoff in units.

The huge dropoff in revenues year to year are definitely far beyond seasonal considerations. So far, I do not have a handle on the revenue fall in 1Q from 4Q, as I explained in my note. Obviously, fewer units sold at lower prices will make the revenue number much greater than the unit drop, but getting the magnitude will be difficult as Dataquest and IDC do not report it for obvious, marketing reasons.
