One would assume from your response that CUBE is dying or dead. CUBE makes money and will make much more going forward. If I were a BRCM long, I would be praying to the great "Proprietary God" not to let cable go "open architecture."

As far as letting people eat CUBE's lunch: CUBE could have lowered their prices on their semiconductor products only to have gone down the same road as ESST. There is no trick in taking market share by lowering your price.

BRCM will have the same dilemma soon enough.
