This weekend I visited the local sunglass retailer in Irvine, CA (where Oakley is headquartered) and asked when they're scheduled to receive their first X-metal shipment. They didn't have a answer but they knew what I was talking about. Based upon their response, they'll probably receive them during the same timeframe Sunglass Hut receives them. Might as well wait and buy them from Sunglass Hut. It'll help both RAYS and OO.

I also found it interesting that this particular retailer now has a 50% sale on all sunglasses, except Oakley. Too bad. Even though I want a pair of X-metal's, I would have purchased some older models for half price (and probably would have spent a small fortune because it would have been an impulse buy).

If you want to see them, call a local sunglass retailer, who is not part of a large chain, but carries Oakleys, you have the best chance to find them there. Or you can wait til Sunglass Hut distributes them.
