I am getting an account with HONG KONG bank of canada now. AS far as cheaper..I will be learning in about a week or 2 how to set up an american account(actual american account). Schwab and them..well..some of them will let you if you they will sned you a W-8 form and a 1001 form (whatever those are) rto fill out. then they can do it.
Etrade canada may have cheap commisions
