Friends:

A neophyte is working on his first network and has questions.

In a peer-to-peer network, can the computers be running different operating systems? Can one be WinNT and another Win98?

If so, what network service is required in WinNT if the Win98 machine is running Microsoft Client (if that's the right name)?
