RE:CPQ vs Dell in online selling

Sir, others, including Compaq may very well offer their products online, but just because
they host an online store don't think that means they're automatically in the same league
as Dell. Compaq would have to make one he*l of a lot of other changes inside its own
company before it began to scratch Dell's tail. Having a web store isn't enough- Dell is
Dell because it not only builds a top quality computer, but because it builds it to order
directly as each is ordered ,(no inventory tying up capital), is efficient & swift in its
processing, construction, and delivery, and has a world class follow through after the
sale- known as an unsurpassed reputation for excellent customer support & service..
Others may study the model & might try, but unless they revise their entire method of
doing business, Dell remains the one, the only and the marvelous DELL!
