Hoenig, a classy company has a really thorough, wonderful catalogue with hundreds of private independent research teams/companies providing services (research, stock picking) to independent investors and even professional investment managers.. .. One guy I looked up and requested a 'copy of his newsletter before committing' out of curiousity simply because he is from my local area, and got mailed a 'complimentary' newsletter. It arrived on Monday the 26th.
On the top with 50 point fonts are the words:
Double and Triple your money with hot stocks from my Newsletter.
His safest play .. with a lot of information is to his credit: Nite Trimark a good choice to be sure, but the newsletter is dated for May 1999 and NITE has really become rather extended since the publication came to his subscribers (this week)..

There are very very wealthy individual who don'thave the time to check out a stock like NITE, AOL or even a stock like KSWS. They are just happy someone give it to them. They don't want their broker's advice because its much more trendy, and upscale going with your very own stock research team. Sounds better at the golf course and dining at the country club with your peers..
"I say, George, anything new from that private stock research team you hired?" while playing the fourth hole.
"Good show," says George, "they are really on the mark. I just got into NITE, its down 5 1/4 but I'm sure I picked the right time to go long.. This guy really knows what he's doing!"
