gai actually options almost trade independant of the stock...demand creates the price...as well as volitlity and sector of the underlying... puts are only good in corrections when people and MO Mo's leaving the stock... i do trade them but not much... calls are my forte...usually in the monies...ITM's.... Index puts are better like the OEX....
