Of course John Carmack thinks the Mac OS sucks. This is a kid who still operates under the misasumption that if its harder to use, then the guys who use it are cooler. I lost respect for Carmack a long time ago- and I can assure you that people inside the game industry don't look to him for leadership either (expect in the anti-DirectX movement awhile back). Its only the media that hypes him up because his games are so popular. (And lets be honest- quake was good technology but a crappy game. Quake II was great and Quake III is going for the real fun: multiplayer net play. So they are going in the right direction, but they aren't infallible as the reporters like to think.)
