I am worried the LSCC's purchase of Vantis includes too much product and
customer overlap -- typically just what you should avoid in a major acquisition.

I heard Vantis had basically flat revenue over the past few years. Is this primarily a technology play? Cyrus Tsui said he want's to get bigger fast to offer
a wider product selection and get better out-sourcing pricing (lower cost from economies of scale). I'm not impressed with that line of thought as manufacturing cost are such a small piece of the puzzle for these fabless players.

Anyone want to talk about this big purchase?

P.S. I've owed lattice for 5 years and this is their first big purchase and I'm concerned they may be making a somewhat desperate move to catch Altera which has out-paced them so far.
