mama..tv's not a commodity...beef by anyones definition a commodity...it's the same type and like kind of product, beef is beef, can't be pork, not even chicken, born beef, dies beef...you can't add value to beef....you can affect the quality by certain methods of raising...but if you define "adding value" as changing form...e.g...adding other ingredients and processing..it becomes adulterated and no longer "beef"...
the true definition of a commodity is anything that can be traded, sold, or bartered...the accepted definition of a commodity is anything that is mined, grown, refined, etc from a natural resource...with few exceptions...never saw "computer futures" traded in the pit in chicago..
a product which is designed, engineered and assembled for a specific purpose is not now, and will never be a "true" commodity..no matter how many times you repeat it..not gonna change...believe what you like mamma...but it don't matter if it ain't for real!!! cheers!
p.s...if tv's were a commodity, they would all be the "same"...sold in a bin like burke's "oranges"...and it would be intellectually dishonest to argue otherwise.... |
