My mom was here, someone called and reported that her tags had expired on the car she wrecked in December. The cops came by and said we had four days to move it or they would tow it, it was parked on the street. I know if we put it in our driveway they can't touch it, so I told her to move it into the driveway, but it wouldn't start. She has AAA, they came and towed it from the street to the driveway, about 20 feet. The tow truck guy didn't bat an eye. I wish I knew who called in the tags, I have a few choice words I'd like to share with him/her. There is a bounty program, I am glad to be able to flip the bird, metaphorically, at the weasel.
She said my brother was planning to go to Kosovo with Mediciens sans Frontiers (sp?), he is a nurse, he had everything all packed and in storage, and then my sister called and said my dad was losing it, from the stress of his wife, she is comatose. So he went to Baton Rouge instead. He doesn't have enough money saved up to go without working for more than two months, and it will take six weeks to get his license in Louisiana. I guess I should send him some money for his birthday. |
