I have both. Some time back picked up some incredibly beautiful Chinese gold. Soft enough to nick with your fingernail. As for shares. Well, I couldn't quite paper the house but it's getting there. Problem is my broker was recommending stocks like PDG when it was 30.00 and she never explained about stop losses. Been averaging down. Mostly lower priced gold stocks though. Did it backward. Invested and then started learning. Expensive way to do it.
