I highly doubt that PFE would buy Schering-Plough (sp?). SP is basically a one horse (or drug) company - Claritin. While the #1 selling anti-histamine, sales won't last forever. For those of you worried about PFE's pipeline take a look at Ligand Pharmaceuticals (LGND). There is a high quality thread here on SI. LGND is a leading biotech. PFE and other large drug companies have an equity stake.
