Sir Vinny, free trade is phased in. It doesn't happen overnight. It will still take many more years before everything is free trade. Until that day comes we have to deal with duties and brokerage fees which can exceed the total purchase price.

I hate ordering anything over $200 from American companies because I know that on top of the duties (duty is still like 20% on things like clothes) I also have to pay the brokerage fee which runs a minimum of $60 per shipment. When you take this into account, you realize how thoughtful BIDS is about their customers' needs.

Other auction companies and etailers like Amazon don't even think of these things so Canadian customers won't buy from an American company and American customers won't buy from a Canadian company. With BIDS, the border is invisible to the customer because BIDS has taken care of everything.

Lola:)
