I don't know how many of you folks own Intel, but when I arrived home this evening, my annual report and proxy were waiting. On the front page of the proxy was the following:

"Arthur Rock, one of our founding directors (since 1968), will not be standing for re-election. Arthur has provided Intel with invaluable assistance for 30 years. He was the Company's first Chairman of the Board from 1970 (when the position was created) to 1975. He has been active on all of the Board's committees, and has served as the Lead Independent Director and as the Chairman of the Executive, Audit & Finance and Corporate Governance Committees. We will still look to his wise counsel in his new position as Director Emeritus."

From page 5 of the proxy:

"Arthur Rock, 72 Years Old, had been a director of Intel since its founding in 1968.....Mr. Rock is a principal of Arthur Rock and Company, a venture capital firm. He is also a director of AirTouch Communications, Inc. and Echelon Corporation, a trustee of the California Institute of Technology and a member of the Board of Governors of the National Association of Securities Dealers."

While I knew Arthur Rock was a "hitter" I didn't really know how "big of a hitter" we really have with us in NTII.
