Paul - RE: "Why would I be worried?

Do you think Intel can't make 700 MHz devices as well?"

Well, if (yeah, yeah, yeah - IF) AMD can make enough of the chips I doubt they will price them at the same price as the equivalent MHz Intel chip. Which would mean Intel has to lower prices on the chips which bring in the profits. However this scenario seems less attainable.

If AMD can only make limited quantities of the higher MHz K7s, which seems more likely because they still have to ramp up the 5XXMHz ones, do you think Intel will price their widely-available MHz-comparable-chip to the K7's price? That should pose a small dilemma for Intel.

Anyways, Intel should be slightly worried because AMD hasn't had an = MHz to Intel high end chip before.
