AMEX to trade Tobacco Index options from March 5

CHICAGO, March 3 (Reuter) - The American Stock Exchange (AMEX) said Monday it would
begin trading options on its tobacco index on March 5.

The so-called Tobacco Index .TOB is made up of nine companies involved in the tobaccco
industry including American Brands Inc , Dimon Inc , Philip Morris Companies Inc and UST Inc .

The exchange said initial strike prices for the options would be set at 280, 285, 290, 295, 300,
305, 310, 315, 320, 325 and 330.

Monday afternoon, the index was up 0.31 at 309.24.

Initial expirations for the options have been set for March, April, May, August and November and
Susquehanna Investment Group has been named the specialist unit, the AMEX said.
