Pardon my logic, but why would the INTC 752 require a standoff DVD solution when it is touted at SoftDVD compatible? I thought the whole INTC idea was to migrate to SoftDVD and multifunction DSP or HSP chipsets to get away from slot add-ons and keep costs down. If so, then the SIGM hardware solutions will find their way into only upper-end or graphic intense machines. It doesn't seem to target the meat of the market, which IMO is trending to sub $500. Except for whatever memory and processor space Windows2000 will hog, it just seems that the just announced Celeron 466a and near future INTC multifunction 810 chipset leads the heart of the market toward SoftDVD in the computer environment. SIGM should have greater longevity in the straight DVD consumer electronics lines if that were their true focus.
