HJ-- I don't feel like arguing about it, but I'll say again that you just plain wrong. Many of The Motley Fool's methodologies are the same as those used by some of the best investors in the world, such as Warren Buffet and the folks at top mutual fund families like Janus, Transamerica, and Legg Mason.

The Motley Fool can best speak for itself, so I'll also leave you a link which demonstrates some of the work they typically do. In this case, it is a primer on ROIC.

After going through that, maybe you'll actually take my advice about reading through the Fool site for more.

Successful investing isn't about simple P/E ratios or its variants like PE/G! If it were that easy, everyone would be a mega-millionaire. Btw, anytime I hear someone mention "P/E ratio," I immediately discount whatever they're saying...

And Remember: The best investors understand both the concepts and the financials. Everyone I named above has both attributes (and then some!).
