Thread update: "Where in the world is Carmen Elgindy?" Talked to Anthony at 3:40 A.m. , West coast time. He is in Newark safely with Anna and the baby, I believe. Flodyie and Bear Down met him in Newark Foreign service can (and did) issue Visas, but technically that only allows you to "present yourself at the border". INS alone can "admit" you. Sure enough they pulled rank at the Newark Customs, and almost arrested Anthony et al. If you genuflect (sp?) enough, and bow to their authority they generally relent, which apparently was the case here. As I surmised, his lack of contact, is that he did as promised leave his laptop in Kosovo. If you wish your name added to the list of many to split the cost of replacing it, Pm me or post it here. If you want to limit your contribution to $100.00 , just note it. Back to bed. Anthony's off to NYC to get properly haberdashed for his visit to Congess, then on to Chicago and San Diego. That's all I know.
