[china contract??]

good morning sector,

it could very well be interesting to see how the (release of) news of the potential Nbase-Xyplex/GDT Great Dragon technology cooperation agreement plays out... i have been following the vocl/china agreement, and this was the first and only mention i have seen of an nbase china deal..

probably should have added disclaimers on the post as i suppose this could be rumor/hoax etc... figured that if people were interested they'd check around..

such an agreement doesn't seem so far-fetched: seems quite likely that nbase has at least met with the chinese Minister of Information Industry in the context of joint ventures - and maybe accompanied President Ezer Weizmann on his visit to China- from yesterday's globes:

"The Chinese government is accelerating negotiations with Israeli telecommunications companies, with a view to forming joint ventures in China. The Chinese Minister of Information Industry Wu Jichuan met today with representatives of ten Israeli communications companies, that are accompanying President Ezer Weizmann on his visit to China. A week and a half ago, the Chinese visitor ended her visit to Israel, after meeting with six of these companies.

The companies attending today's meeting with RAD Communications, VocalTec, Gilat, ECI, NBase, Check Point, WizCom, Comverse, BreezeCom, Elbit and Scitex.
..."

fwiw, as you no doubt noticed the original release is attributed to Agence France Presse and is (still) up on the "Inside China Today" ... as there wasn't even a substantial hint of this news in the mrvc cc (or elsewhere) , my guess is that mrvc is probably under nda... and this news (if real) is not supposed to be out...

best wishes
