I bought US Long Distance, and did quite well up to and including their buy-out by LCI. I held the LCI shares, added to them, and did quite well up to and including their purchase by Qwest. I've held the Qwest shares and, needless to say, done quite well, somewhere around a triple. My overall cost basis is around $10.

I think if someone buys Qwest, I'll probably hold. However, if history repeats itself, we'll see wide fluctuations in price and a lot of arbitrage activity in the period from an announcement until a couple of months after a closing.
