got my propane tank yesterday -- 115 gallons (they didn't have a 120 handy...). It's a vertical cylinder that fits nicely in back of the garage. If you do the math with my soon-to-be-delivered Kohler 8.5kw generator, you find that 115 gallons of propane will only run the generator "flat out" for about 48 hours. Two days.

Granted, that's a worst case for fuel use. Still, I think I'll get another tank of similar size to double my fuel supply. And batteries and an inverter to stretch my propane still further? Not sure...probably.
