CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Glenayre Technologies Inc.
(NASDAQ:GEMS) announced today that it has entered into a broad cooperative
agreement with Vodafone Paging Limited, the paging company within Vodafone
Group PLC, aimed at furthering the development of wireless data messaging. As
part of this collaborative effort, the companies will be conducting market-
focus trials aimed at identifying wireless network requirements for new
generation infrastructure and interactive devices.
Specific applications to be tested include wireless valued-added Internet-
based messaging, wireless chat and information services.
