Dispatches from Hambrecht & Quist conference By CBS MarketWatch Last Update: 10:53 AM ET Apr 28, 1999 Also: Tech Report Net Stocks NewsWatch Silicon Stocks Dell (DELL: news, msgs) Chief Financial Officer Tom Meredith told the Hambrecht & Quist technology conference in San Francisco on Wednesday that his company is "in a moment of transition." And it's the Internet that is providing a roadway for that transition, he said. Dell continues to push its Internet efforts and he said he saw the company growing at a multiple of the market. He also said the company sees quarterly growth in the first half of this year even as the industry experiences a decline.
