Just saw the interview with WSTL's CEO on CNBC(Gary Seamans). He said WSTL has allocated an EQUAL amount of time and resources to ADSL DMT technology as to CAP. He also did not deny that DMT was a better technology when asked directly about this. He said that WSTL is concerned about being "first to market" with any ADSL-type of technology... and because they have something CAP based now, they will provide it for whoever wants it. He also said that the agreement with Microsoft is non-exclusive. Again, he said his objective is to infiltrate the ADSL marketplace with WSTL products. When asked how to value companies involved in ADSL, he simply noted that because of the extensive use around the world of copper loops--the potential market for ADSL-type technology was approx. 3 Billion. My feeling after watching the interview was that it would have the positive effect of opening a great many eyes as to the real potential of what is currently happening within ADSL based companies.
