The only anti-allergy "drug" that works via an "IgE" mechanism I am aware of is a Genentech antibody in phase III for a couple of allergy-related conditions. Given its cost and way of administration (injection), I doubt it may represent serious competition to oral or inhaled drugs. I can see it being used for the few (?) cases in which standard drugs do not work well.
