I know the NRA has a lot of paid propagandists masquerading as scientists, just like the tobacco companies. I also don't expect anything to be done about the 30k+ deaths a year. Much easier to bloviate. I hope the alternate "solution" of right-to-carry laws doesn't become any more trendy than it already is, but that's life.
