I have seen the Alberta kimberlite up close and was surprised
by the lack of indicator minerals, most notably abundant red
garnet.

I have seen several different textures and colors of kimberlite, including fresh green blue, but all contained the familiar mineral
suite.

I would not be surprised if this was a hybrid kimberlite.
