Gottfried and Threaders, following are the DW bull percentage as of the close of the market, Tuesday, 4/27/99. Note, the increase number of sectors above the 50% (mean) when compared with previous weeks. Asia is continuing its upward movement increasing to the 70% range. The leading indicators are all continuing to move up with the Nyse and Otc. More sectors have made it to the 70% plus (overbought) area and only two sectors are in the overbought 30% or less. IMO, the 70% range is not the place to buy but as the place where one should be when one is considering selling. The place to buy is in the oversold area, 30% or less like John Snyder did when he bought into the oil areas. Naturally, the above is only my opinions and the data which I have reviewed from the Dorsey Wright site. Readers are reminded the old saving, "caveat emptor (buyer/reader beware)."
