All speculation aside this is what we have to be known as fact right now.

1. Delphi has sent a purchase order with undisclosed details to GLE.
2. GM has formed an alliance with Toyota.
3. Delphi has formed an alliance with BMW.
4. BMW says they believe the SOFC has advantages over a PEM fuel cell.
5. Delphi has announced no deals with any SOFC fuel cell manufacturer. We know they have a purchase order with GLE. We do not know if they have a purchase order with anyone else for a SOFC, however it may be possible, I have not been able to find anything out about that. Additionally, a search of their site mentions no other fuel cell development..zero.
6. Delphi is working on "Energen" and looking at Hybrid vehicles.

Short of this nothing is fact yet and the details remain to be seen. Yes, rhetoric in releases provides a basis for a certain amount of speculation, however, no other ties between any of the companies mentioned is a point of fact at this point.

One other item to note. Delphi is working to increase their consumer recognition and trying to create their own identity from GM (as per todays press release). It has crossed my mind that we most likely will see an increase in announcements from Delphi as the Company gains public name brand recognition. Such recognition may be used to leverage future news and provide greater impact on what it is developing and additionally greater attention from the auto world in general. They seem to be setting a stage for something.
