Debra..
this isnt specifically for you, but you were the last posted.

I crashed this system the other day and wanted to post my fix on the thread for others.

The system is a two drive system with one 6g and one 10g disk.
using Second copy97 to keep an entire system image on the 2nd disk.

Qp2 resides in drive g: and H: well away from the operating system.

I reformatted C: and reloaded win98 clean copy.

My fix for retrieving the system (V2.1) was:

1. reload the program CD disk to get misc files onto the c: drive.

2. download the net updater update prog from QP2 site.

3. rework setup window for data locations

4. Thats it.. only thing lost was screen layouts.

I called and talked to a someone at QP2, and was very much impressed with the ability to get someone quickly..I also was pleased with the simplicity of restoring this system. Having used a competitors product for years, this was like a breath of fresh air.

regards
pete
