Why sell shares to Paul Allen?
Gee, how about to have access to $300 million in cash to allow the company to grow exponentially and compete with the top tier of Internet companies? How about to be interlinked with Allen's growing cable holdings, giving GNET otherwise impossible synergy? How about to add highly competent people to the board of directors, broadening GNET's perspective and possibilities.

GNET insiders are holding on to their shares because they believe they are creating a company that will compete successfully for years to come. They have confidence in what they are doing and their business plan. So do I. (Long since $7 pre-split and holding.)
