Arrow, this is pretty much a done deal.

IBM will convert their retirement plan to a cash basis plan like so many others have done. LVG alluded to this in the annual meeting. The only question is when and how. The formula I hear the most is posted on Yahoo! at:
messages.yahoo.com

The U.S. retirement plan is over funded by over $6 billion, so some of this will go back to the "coffers". All speculation, but heard too often to be without basis.
