A caveat on AWEB to avoid any potential confusion.

A few months ago, AWEB was the ticker for a stock that went from stagnating at 30c to over $15 in just 2 weeks last December. Yes, that says $15 and NOT $1.50. A source pushed it on me all summer at 30c, but I didn't listen.

Anyway, AWEB is as of February the AWEB that is discussed here (AutoWeb). I think it debuted at around $30-50, which nearly gave me a heart attack when I went to check on the old AWEB. (the old AWEB had dropped to around $3, and some people I advised to buy did pretty good when it jumped to about $5 one day - of course when they saw the AutoWeb quote later, they were pretty excited, thinking that their $5 sale for profit could have gone for a further 1000%)

To make it more confusing, there is now a company called AWEB, which is being spun off as ticker symbol TIPS by TNRG. Many TNRG people mistakenly refer to the TIPS as "AWEB". So, if you come across AWEB on the 'net somewhere or on a message board, be sure you're not talking apples and oranges, (or AWEB AWEB and AWEB).

I've probably only made confusion where none existed, but I've seen people get mixed-up with all the AWEBs first-hand, so ...

Clear as mud?
