Tim, Just browsing through and found this thread. I was intrigued so I did a little research at Rambus's Web page. Normally these venture backed companies are taken public within 8 years of formation since the venture companies want their capital to be semi-liquid. So I would expect an IPO by 1998. Based on their revenues which have just hit $400 million (at an exponential rate of increase), this company will be sizzling HOT when it does come out. Since it is partially backed by Goldman-Sachs, I would expect them to handle any IPO. I would be curious about any other data you have about the company. Obewon P.S. Rather than ask the company directly, it might be more informative to ask one of the venture capital firms backing them when they expect to recoup on their investment.
