Well,

While MTC is doing some wonderful things for the worlds food supply, there is a huge reluctance to accept genetically modified crops. The EU is refusing but Argentina loves the crops. The world wants a solution that is low pollution and low soil abuse but they refuse to accept these crops. Quite a pickle.

The latest rumor is MTC is considering allowing Searle to be sold off. That would allow Celebrex and the Billions associated with it to skate free. I guess we would make quite a bit selling them though, we are talking complete elimination of the debt acquired for buying DeKalb and DLP and others to the tune of close to 8 billion. Selling Searle would 0 this balance and put alot on the books for future R&D.

Hopefully the world powers will come to accept the genetically modified crops for what they are, a simple improvement and not FRANKEN-FOODS!
